Your Holiday Contract with Low Cost Cruises

Low Cost Cruises, trading as Johnson Holidays Limited, ensures that all flights and flight-inclusive holidays booked through our website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. When you make a payment, you will receive an ATOL Certificate. Our ATOL Number is 12561. Please request this certificate and verify that all booked items, including flights, hotels, and other services, are listed. For additional details on financial protection and the ATOL Certificate, please refer to our booking conditions.

Booking Confirmation and Payment

When you book travel arrangements with us, you enter into a contract with Low Cost Cruises. We will provide a booking confirmation along with your itinerary and invoice, detailing the specifics of your booking and payment. Should you find any discrepancies, such as incorrect dates, destinations, names, or costs, notify us immediately.

Payment Terms and Methods

The individual making the booking is responsible for all payments on behalf of everyone listed. We typically require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking, with the full balance due by the date specified in your booking confirmation (usually 12-14 weeks before departure). Failure to make full payment by the due date may result in cancellation by the principal(s) or supplier(s) with applicable cancellation fees.

For bookings made within 12-14 weeks of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. If a deposit has been paid, the remaining balance can be settled via an online payment link, over the phone, or by bank transfer.

Amendments and Cancellations

To cancel or amend your booking, send us a written request as soon as possible. We will strive to assist where we can. However, cancellation or amendment charges imposed by the principal or supplier may apply, potentially up to 100% of the cost. Some changes, like name alterations, may be treated as cancellations, leading to full cancellation fees. For flight-inclusive bookings, you must cover any charges from the airline, and name changes post-ticket issuance may require purchasing a new flight.

Special Assistance

If you need special assistance, such as wheelchair access or other facilities, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs with the principal suppliers, though medical certificates may be required to confirm your eligibility to travel.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is crucial for safeguarding against unexpected costs related to medical emergencies and legal issues abroad. Ensure that the insurance you purchase meets your needs adequately.

Programme Changes

Low Cost Cruises acts as a booking agent and is not liable for any loss, personal injury, or death, except in cases of proven negligence. Claims should be directed to the carrier or primary supplier. We are not responsible for refunds due to Force Majeure events such as wars, terrorism, natural disasters, or other uncontrollable circumstances.

Flight Delays or Cancellations

If your flight is canceled or delayed, the airline may offer a refund for the flight but not necessarily for other holiday arrangements. If you cancel other bookings, normal cancellation terms apply. We can assist with booking alternative flights, but exact dates, routes, or timings are not guaranteed, and fare differences must be covered by you.

Ticket Validity, Flight Timings, and Scheduled Carriers

Return tickets must be used in the order issued. Missed flights may lead to automatic cancellation of subsequent travel. Airlines may change flight timings and schedules, and neither Low Cost Cruises nor the carrier is liable for such changes. Refunds for unused tickets are subject to the airline’s terms and conditions.

Travel Documentation, Visas, and Health Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents and meet health and visa requirements. Any issues arising from incorrect documentation will be your responsibility.

Delivery of Documents

Holiday documents will be emailed to the address provided by the lead passenger. Items that cannot be emailed will be sent by first-class post. We are not liable for documents lost in transit unless due to our negligence. Ensure you receive all documents at least 96 hours before departure.

Car Hire

For car hire bookings, a refundable deposit is typically required. Check your car hire voucher for specific requirements and ensure you have a valid driving license for the country of rental.

Accommodation Ratings and Standards

Accommodation ratings are provided by suppliers and may differ by country and supplier. Verify check-in and check-out times with the supplier, and pay any local taxes directly to them.

Airport Charges and Departure Taxes

Any increases or new charges imposed by governments are not covered by our price guarantee. UK air passenger duty and airport departure taxes are included in our prices.

Contract

The client named in the booking agrees to the Terms & Conditions on behalf of all listed individuals and consents to the use of their personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The client must be over 18 and a UK resident. They are responsible for payment and ensuring all listed individuals meet age restrictions if applicable. For hotel bookings, your contract is with the hotel supplier, with Low Cost Cruises acting as an agent.

Multi-Contract Packages

If your booking includes multiple travel services, it will be treated as a Multi-Contract Package. Low Cost Cruises will act as the ‘Package Organiser’ and ensure compliance with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (PTRs). If any booked service does not fit the definition of a Multi-Contract Package, it will be treated as a single component and not subject to PTRs.

Cancellations & Refunds by the Client

Most holidays are non-refundable and non-changeable. For cancellations or amendments, contact Low Cost Cruises. An administration fee will apply, and the payment card fee charged at booking is non-refundable.

Amendments by Low Cost Cruises

Low Cost Cruises reserves the right to cancel bookings if fraud is suspected or if changes are necessary due to supplier requests or unavoidable circumstances. We will provide alternatives for significant changes but will not offer compensation.

Data Protection Policy

We are committed to protecting your personal data and sharing it only with service providers necessary for your booking. Data may also be shared for fraud prevention and protection. We operate under applicable data protection laws and note that protection levels may differ outside the EEA.

General Information

We recommend comprehensive travel insurance and remind you that local taxes, meals, and hotel standards may vary. Star ratings are provided by suppliers and may not match official ratings. Payment for any damage or loss caused by you must be made directly to the accommodation owner or manager.

Price Match Guarantee

We offer a Price Match Guarantee for identical holiday packages with the same details. To qualify, provide proof of a lower price, and we will match it. Price match requests must be made before booking and paying a deposit.

ATOL Protection

When purchasing an ATOL-protected flight or flight-inclusive holiday, you will receive an ATOL Certificate detailing your financial protection. If neither we nor the identified suppliers can provide the services due to insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may fulfill the obligations. If no alternative holder is available, you may claim under the ATOL scheme.

Unavoidable and Extraordinary Circumstances

Except where explicitly stated otherwise in these booking conditions, we will not be liable or offer compensation if our obligations to you are affected by circumstances that we or the service provider could not have avoided, even with all reasonable measures taken. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, civil unrest, terrorist activities and their consequences, riots, actions of any government or local authority, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fires, chemical or biological disasters, weather conditions that make travel unsafe, and other similar events beyond our control or that of the supplier.

Final Travel Arrangements

Please ensure that all your travel, passport, visa, and insurance documents are in order, and that you arrive at the airport with sufficient time to check in. You may need to reconfirm your flight with the airline before departure. Please contact us for details at least 78 hours before your outbound flight. Make a note of any reference number or contact name when reconfirming. Failure to reconfirm may result in being denied boarding and you are unlikely to receive a refund.
