Increasingly, it's also a favored home of the rich and famous. Good and varied dining and lodging options abound; these are most in demand during Regatta Week in mid- to late August and the annual Fowey Festival of Words and Music in mid-May. The Bodinnick and Polruan ferries take cars as well as foot passengers across the river for the coast road on to Looe.A few miles west of Fowey are a pair of very different gardens: the Eden Project, a futuristic display of plants from around the world, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a revitalized reminder of the Victorian age.

Originally a little fishing village, Cherbourg has developed into a historic port designed by Vauban. This was also a strategic naval port during the Napoleonic wars; there is a marina with over 1000 moorings. “Cap de la Hague” is to the West and the “Pointe de Barfleur” to the East. This port, which belongs to Normandy, is a region that has provided inspiration for countless artists and writers, and is the land of apple orchards and rolling farmland dotted with villages of half-timbered houses. Boasting a wealth of abbeys and châteaux, as well as a superb coastline, it offers something for everyone. Cherbourg was also the first stop of RMS Titanic after it left Southampton, England. On 19 June 1864, the naval engagement between USS Kearsarge and CSS Alabama took place off Cherbourg. The Battle of Cherbourg, fought in June 1944 following the Normandy Invasion, ended with the capture of Cherbourg on June 30.

Honfleur, the most picturesque of the Côte Fleurie's seaside towns, is a time-burnished place with a surplus of half-timber houses and cobbled streets that are lined with a stunning selection of stylish boutiques. Much of its Renaissance architecture remains intact—especially around the 17th-century Vieux Bassin harbor, where the water is fronted on one side by two-story stone houses with low, sloping roofs and on the other by tall slate-topped houses with wooden facades. Maritime expeditions (including some of the first voyages to Canada) departed from here; later, Impressionists were inspired to capture it on canvas. But the town as a whole has become increasingly crowded since the Pont de Normandie opened in 1995. Providing a direct link with Upper Normandy, the world's sixth-largest cable-stayed bridge is supported by two concrete pylons taller than the Eiffel Tower and designed to resist winds of 257 kph (160 mph).

Breakfast and lunch in Buckingham are generally served on an open seating basis, giving guests flexibility on when to dine to suit them. Although Ambience essentially operates for adults only, we are offering a selection of multi-generational cruises in school holidays, with no age restriction. These cruises enable the whole family to spend quality time together.
Please note that there are no specific children’s facilities on board.
Your home-from-home, your humble abode on board, your cabin accommodation is where we want you to feel most comfortable. This is your restful haven that you can look forward to returning to after an exciting day ashore or a busy day at sea, where you can escape and rejuvenate during your trip.
We offer a range of cabins spanning six accommodation decks from the Reception Deck 5 up to the Sun Deck 12. We have 21 twin and single cabin categories to suit a wide range of preferences and pockets. Our cabins are generally more spacious and cater to today’s climate, averaging 15-16 square meters. Our dedicated housekeeping team clean cabins once a day and provide 24-hour room service at a supplementary cost. All our cabins are air-conditioned with ensuite facilities including a shower and ample storage space with room under the beds to store suitcases.
All cabins have a range of impressive amenities and personal touches. Make yourself at home with tea and coffee making facilities and take advantage of the hair dryer, personal safe, UK three pin electrical sockets and USB ports. There is also a flat screen TV for all your entertainment needs, including a range of house movies, news, documentaries, and ship information channels. So why not sit back and watch the ship position and routing from the comfort of your own cabin?
With the exception of 19 purpose built single bed configured cabins, all cabins are of double bed configuration (some with fold-away upper pullman berths or sofa beds) The other single categories are double bed cabins for single occupancy.
